I’ve had one baby who is now 19 moths old, I refuse to use that as an excuse for the terrible shape my body is now in!
I have a lot of cellulite from my knees up to my bottom & a flabby tummy area (also got stretchmarks during pregnancy)
What are some things I can do, that work, to reduce or get rid of cellulite??

I use a body brush always brushing upward toward your heart. It stimulates circulation helping to improve cellulite and complexion. Also water water water… I used Bio oil for stretch marks, my daughter is 5 months and I was lucky enough to get no marks at all on my tummy just a few on my breasts. However now thanx to Bio oil they are gone! It really works and is not as expensive as some other options!

Cellulite is the sworn enemy of many women and even men out there and everyone is looking for a simple natural way of getting rid of cellulite.

If you are tired and frustrated of trying all kinds of treatments and remedies to cure cellulite then I will introduce you to a natural way of getting rid of cellulite, but there is one downside to this-it does involve some work from your side. The most effective cure and remedy to get rid of it is not some new radical treatment, but something you have most probably heard of before.

* A good anti-cellulite diet
* Weight training
* Aerobic training
* Diet

A good diet is absolutely crucial if you want to naturally lose cellulite. If you lose fat then you will automatically lose it as well. Try to eat frequent meals with each meal containing a complete protein and a vegetable or fruit. Avoid refined starches and carbohydrates. Do include good oils in the form of fatty fish or fish oil capsules, nuts, and olive oil in your diet. And lastly something you have probably heard a hundred times before-drink lots of water. A good diet will do wonders for your health-your skin will look better and you will feel much better in general. You can keep your diet simple and achieve drastic results in losing cellulite.Strength Training

Strength or weight training is absolutely crucial if you want to lose cellulite. Weight training is the only exercise that will sculpt and tone your muscle and maintain your muscle mass while you are dieting. With firm toned muscle the appearance of it is drastically reduced and another bonus is that your metabolism will stay elevated and you will burn more calories.

Aerobic Training

The last piece of the puzzle in the natural way to get rid of cellulite is aerobic training. Aerobic training will burn fat and cellulite. You can start with slow steady aerobic exercise for a duration that you are comfortable with. For example start with 20 minutes walking three times a week.

When you are comfortable with that you can increase the duration of the aerobic sessions. Another very effective more advanced form of aerobic exercise that will burn it is high intensity interval training.

The key is that you must combine all the different components like diet, weight training and aerobic exercise together in order to get rid of cellulite for good.

Together these three components gives you a complete battle plan in the war against cellulite, and if you actually implement this plan you will be pleasantly surprised in the results you will achieve.

The real key here is that you actually will have to do the work and only then will you start getting real results. Most people are looking for a quick fix to get rid of cellulite, and are not willing to put the effort in.

It is like the old saying goes-what you put in is what you will get out.

Contrary to popular belief (and media), cellulite is actually the norm, not the exception. Skin that has cellulite is dimpled or bumpy in appearance and usually appears on buttock, hips, and thighs; it occurs more often in women than men which makes it even more of a buzz word.

Women are generally more worried about their appearance and more susceptible to messages sent by the media about the way they look. Aside from media, some plastic surgeons create hullabaloo in women about cellulite because of various procedures that they will perform. The last, but most obvious, entity that affects how cellulite is seen is manufacturers of various products which claim to get rid of cellulite.

As I said, cellulite is more common than not in women. This is due to the way that three things are dispersed in and beneath womens skin (which it different from that in men); these things are connective tissue, fat, and muscle. Hormones and genetics also affect the development of cellulite: both the tendency for having and the amount of it which appears.

This means that families with a history of cellulite are apt to produce people with cellulite. There are far more families which are genetically susceptible to this manifestation than there are who are not.

Quite often you see dietary supplements that make claims concerning the reduction of cellulite. They base these claims on other claims that their ingredients give you better circulation, higher metabolism and that they will break down fats within the body. The ingredients that they make these claims about are herbal supplements which are generally not required to have specific clinical studies done by objective third parties.

In other words, companies make claims and have no scientific proof to back these claims. Even with clinical trials, there could only be a correlation established. This means that while there seems to be a link, this link cannot be proven. This is because there are no definitive ways to determine metabolic levels, circulation, and rate (and percentage) of the breakdown of body fat.

In other words, be careful about what you purchase in dietary supplements and the claims they make. Research the ingredients as much as you can and research these through companies other than the one who is marketing the product.

If you find that many companies are making different claims about a certain ingredient, you have to realize that there is no way that all of the claims can be true. Be leery in those cases; likewise, if you find that a certain ingredient seems to have many claims about one benefit, you have a better chance that the ingredient actually does what it claims.

Always read the ingredient list very carefully. One ingredient that is particularly harmful to a number of people is iodine. One of the most commonly seen food and most deadly allergies is the allergy to shellfish. This is often due to an allergy to iodine which is common in many shellfish.

Iodine is often an ingredient in products which claim to reduce cellulite. Additionally, iodine can cause health issues in people with thyroid conditions. It is wise to take any dietary supplements you are considering to your doctor prior to taking them due to possible allergies, health related issues, or prescription interaction issues.

One way that may temporarily help the appearance of cellulite is certain types of massage treatments and body wraps. These treatments are usually done in salons and do not make claims about bettering inner workings of your body. True claims will tell you that the treatment minimizes the appearance of cellulite.

The best way to find out whether a salons claims are true concerning their cellulite treatments is to talk to other clients about their results with the treatment. For instance, the salon I use has a body wrap treatment that temporarily minimizes the appearance of cellulite. This salons treatment honestly does. I have spoken to many clients who will use this treatment for special occasions, but they generally do not use the service on a consistent basis.

The massage treatments are much the same. Often, they are done with machines that manipulate the skin and underlying tissues (including fat). These are not suggested due to the fact that they can easily stretch the skin, which has a reverse effect in the long run, making the area look much worse in the long run.

Deep tissue massages are much better for your skin and, done right, can temporarily minimize the appearance of your cellulite. The thing to keep in mind with these treatments in that they are temporary, but they are also very relaxing which is good for the psyche.

Do you passionately want to eliminate your stretch marks? Well, if you follow the steps outlined in this article, you can. Regardless, of whether your stretch marks are the results of losing an excesive amount of weight, body building, pregnancy, or putting on a few extra pounds, it is possibe to drastically reduce, if not totally eliminate, those dreadful stretch marks on your body. The key to preventing and eliminating stretch marks is constantly maintaining your skin’s elasticity by infusing it with moisture. If you have not moisturized your skin the best over several years, or maybe even months, you may observed that more stretch marks are appearing. Not to worry, I will teach you how to eliminate those stretch marks. Restoring your skin back to health is not a difficult task, but it will take patience and persistance on your part. Before we tackle the topic of how to eliminate stretch marks, it is equally as important to define what stretch marks are and where they come from.

What Are Stretch Marks and Where Do Stretch Marks Come From?

Stretch marks or striae, are a form of scarring on the skin with a silvery white hue. Stretch marks can appear anywhere on the body, along the side of your stomach, the bottom of your belly, the upper portion of your chest, the center of your thighs, and circumference of your posterior. Generally, stretch marks appear in places where larger amounts of fat are stored. Although, stretch marks are associated with people who tend to be overeaters and obese, stretch marks can be the result of a variety of things. Pregnancy, bodybuilding, weight loss, puberty, and intense physical activity can lead to stretch marks. Stretch marks actually develop when an increased level of circulating glucocorticoids enter the bloodstream. This hormone, which is secreted by the adrenal glands, becomes elevated during pregnancy, intense exercise, and puberty, causing stretch marks to appear. But, you can go through all these life events, and even stretch your skin without getting stretch marks. How? Well, it’s as simple as 1-2-3.

How Can I Eliminate Stretch Marks?

With a little self-maintanence, you can restore your skin’s elasticity. By following the steps bellow your skin wll be tighter, brighter, and more brillant than before.

Step 1: Drink 8-10 glasses of water per day: The first step to begin eliminating stretch marks is to work from the inside out. Drinking a sufficient amount of water is critical, because it ensures your body and tissues are properly hydrated. It also removes toxins from your body.

Step 2: Consume a Healthy Diet: By eating foods rich in essential fatty acids, such as fish, and protein and citrus rich foods like fruits, nuts and vegetables, your skin will become tighter, softer, and healthier everyday.

Step 3: The Stretch Mark Eliminating Secret: Keep your skin moisturized with vitamins and essential oils. Although, there are several lotions and creams on the market, such Palmer’s and Strivectin, I would avoid these. They contain primarily artificial ingredients, alcohol, and a little bit of Cocoa Butter or Emu Oil. This is simply not enough to prevent or remove stretch marks. You need several natural oils, butters, scar-heaing ingredients, and essential oils to attack these marks. I recommend a product that is not found in stores. Beauty 4 Ashes’ Christian Health & Beauty Company makes fabulous all-natural stretch mark products at a fraction of the cost of Strivectin. Moreover, this product is far more powerful than Strivectin because it is all-natural and does not contain artificial ingredients had counteract the effectiveness of Emu Oil by drying the skin. Trust me, I have tried everything, and after 5 kids, I know what works. Beauty 4 Ashes stretch mark creams, oils, and butters contain skin-firming, collagen rebuilding, and elasticity strengthening essential oils, vitamins, and proteins. Their stretch mark products will fade your current stretch marks into oblivian and prevent any future stretch marks from forming. Plus, these creams have an added bonus, they tighten cellulite and tone the skin. Honestly, these creams are far better than anything I found in the store. These creams and oils were created to penetrate below your outer dermis and infuse areas where stretch marks are directly forming. Check the ingredients and products out for yourself. Even do research. The main ingredient in their creams are Aloe Vera, Vitamin E, Jojoba oil, and stretch mark reducing essential oils. Their website address is www.discoverb4a.com.

As with all things, the best products are often the hardest to find, because they are less marketed, due to their effectiveness. Hopefully, I can save you from wasting a lot of time and money on those nasty stretch marks.

And remember, to prevent stretch marks, you need to keep your skin infused with rich nutrients, vitamins, and moisture. Do not forget to maintain a healthy diet and drink plenty of water. Keep lotioning!

I hate my legs and i have fat ankles. Is running the best for this problem or is there another option?
Bloody cant stop eating chocolate! Sometimes i hate being a woman expecially a woman who loves food too much!
Nar i take that back, i love being a woman, just feel fat at the moment that’s all and i want to get rid of my cellulite so any suggestions would be appriciated big time.
Amilia, thanks so much for that. So you only have to jog for 10mts 3/4 times a day. Thats gr8 news! I thought you had to pound the pavement for at least 30-40 minutes. I’m starting tomorrow, but will take it slowly to start off.
Come on girls, lets rid ourselves of this horrid thing called cellulite and get some awesome legs happening!
Cheers!

Oh the joy of being a woman! I know I get the same thing. Thankfully there are somethings people like us can do!
I studied HPE, and sport recreation at UNI and am now working as a personal trainer, so I do have a fari bit of an idea about this stuff. I can definately reccomend these following things:

*Leg Lifts – lie down on your side and slowly lift one leg in the air and leave it up there for ten seconds. Lower it down and repeat this 20 times on one leg and then swap over. This is good for the upper thighs and buttox.

* Running – A ten mintue jog 3/4 times a week will help.

* Bike riding – Easy and a great way to tone legs and get fit.

As for the cellulite it will most probably never go away fully but you can definately make it less noticeable. There are certain creams or lotions you can use and doing these exercises will also help.

Have fun being a woman and good luck!!

I have a little bit of cellulite that really bothers me on the backs of my thighs only. I know that almost 100% of women suffer from the same thing, so I’d like to know if any girls out there have had any success with any type of lotions, massage, or treatments? I’d love to hear your story!

Hi, hon — I’m glad you asked, because I have a system that worked really well for me. Here’s my cellulite treatment program:

1. Lunges and squats 3x a week (about 30 minutes)

2. Dry brushing about 15-20 minutes, every night while I watch TV

3. Cellulite cream. I know some people are skeptical but I’ve had great results from cellulite cream. I recommend it! Check out http://www.cellulitetreatment.org/reviews/index.html for recommendations.

Good luck, hon — be sure to come back and let us know what works for you!

I excercise 3 – 4 times a week but still have some cellulite on my thighs and butt. Is cardio the only way to get rid of it or will heavy weight training, such as lunges and leg presses, also help minimize the appearance? I do both but I still don’t see much of a difference!

Unfortunetly, neither weights or cardio will get rid of it completely. Although it should help you not to get more. Don’t give up!

How to Remove Cellulite

Understand what cellulite is. Cellulite is a fatty substance that is found under your connective tissues. As it accumulates it pushes against the connective tissues and makes the skin pucker and ripple.

Start drinking a lot of water – I mean a lot! At least 10 8oz glasses of filtered water daily. If we’re going to get rid of that cellulite and the toxins stored in it we need to give your body a way to push it out.

Develop an exercise program that is designed to help remove your body fat content. Exercise is an effective way of reducing the amount of cellulite that you have. Effective exercise programs will need to include cardio, strength training and flexibility training. You should try working out at least 3 to 4 times a week.

Tone up your muscles with strength building and resistance exercises. Studies have shown that improving muscle firmness can help you get rid of cellulite. Concentrate extra time on muscle beneath the areas with lots of cellulite, but create a total body workout for best results.

Stick to a low calorie diet. Cellulite is not exclusive to overweight women, but eating healthy will keep the size of your fat cells small. This is not enough to get rid of cellulite, but it will contribute to the solution.

Buy a moisturizer that has a sunless tanner mixed in. The moisturizer will hydrate you skin and reduce the severity of the rippling. The sunless tanner will darken you skin making your cellulite less visible. This is a great cosmetic trick to hide cellulite while you work on lowering your body fat content.

Shop for a quality cellulite treatment cream. There are a lot of these products on the market. You want to look for a cream that contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory ingredients.

Consider topical creams to that tighten the surface of the skin or the connective tissue beneath the skin. Amino acids, seaweed and ginkgo-biloba extracts all act as skin tighteners. Look for one or more of these ingredients on different anti-cellulite products.

Don’t stop using topical treatments or the effects will wear off. These are only temporary fixes.

Try Aloe Vera cream. Many people report using a good Aloe Vera cream twice a day helps reduce the appearance of cellulite.

Try skin brushing. This technique is very simple and relatively inexpensive. Simply use a loofah sponge or a soft body brush and scrub your hips, thighs and belly. This not only helps you to exfoliate, but it also stimulates blood flow and supports lymph functions. This will help to minimize the appearance of cellulite.

A multi-faceted approach works best when trying to remove cellulite. Try matching a diet and exercise program with topical creams that include anti-oxidants.

Once a week put a generous layer of castor oil on the skin over the parts you are working on, put the old PJs on that you don’t care about and go to sleep like that. This helps to increase your lymphatic drainage and get rid of trapped toxins!

Don’t get discouraged – change takes a while, but this will help you lose weight too!

Best results can be seen after about 3 months of treatment.

Quit smoking (if u do). Many smokers have large concentrations of cellulite, making researchers think there may be a connection between smoking and cellulite.

Cut caffeine from your diet. Unfortunately, one of the toxins in cellulite appears to be from caffeine. However, many anti-cellulite creams use caffeine. Caffeine if applied to the outside of skin may help reduce cellulite. Rubbing coffee grinds on cellulite is a popular choice for many people, though researchers question its efficacy.
